Dating is tiring

So recently, after a long break from Coffee Meets Bagel, I decided to try out Hinge in early September.

Long story short, met with two bagels (okay maybe not the right term to call them by, but lets stick to that for lack of better word) and both seem to show an interest. They’ve been repeatedly arranging for dates at least once weekly and I’ve met them thrice each now.

But I dont know if theyre it. I mean, 3 dates and i still dont feel any sparks or hao gan or special feelings. Theyre just normal dudes who i dont mind talking to but wouldn’t necessarily miss if they were to disappear.

And as an introvert, its super tiring. Talking to multiple bagels and forgetting who said what to me or what i said to who…

I guess we’ll see where this goes…

anyway, i met a new bagel today who turned out to be quite the waste of my time and money. Ugh. And as i was leaving and walking to the mrt to head home, this random guy suddenly stopped me. I thought he was one of those financial agents and was shaking my head and saying no thank you. But he just asked me for directions to a place, and when i answered him, he suddenly went, oh actually i stopped you cos i thought you were cute. HAHAH and i was just over there stunned like woah what an abrupt change of topic?? Anyway he invited me for coffee and asked for my number but i was drained from meeting the bagel earlier, and said no and bye. But it was an interesting encounter..

new beginnings

In less than 2 weeks, I’ll be starting a new job in a new organisation. It’s been 4 years… and I’m finally leaving my first and current org to start a new chapter elsewhere. Kinda exciting, scary, intimidating and relieving all at once.

Wanted to pen down my journey briefly so that I can one day look back and remember the good and the bad (:

2018 (Team A):

  • Met L, my Senior Manager who I was to work closely with. Her handover to me basically consisted of only a 10-minute verbal briefing where she scribbled some ineligible notes on a piece of A4 paper
  • Other than M and I, our team consisted of mostly very experienced people who had been there for 7+ years in the same role in the team.
  • First month was settling in and getting used to the work. Happy times as I had M and we would go home after work together (lived in the same area)
  • D joined the org about 5 months later, and we became good friends by chance though we were not in the same team.
  • Months in, I felt very disengaged, lonely and sian in my team. My other teammates were cold & difficult to befriend (didn’t help that I only worked with L in my work and didn’t have much work interaction with the rest) + L was also not the most helpful + openly backstabbed me multiple times + M and I drifted apart due to various factors. Thought of quitting constantly.
  • D was my pillar and the one person that allowed me to hang in there till things got better eventually

2019 – 2022 (Team B):

  • Was shuffled over to Team B due to a re-organisation, while my job scope remained largely the same
  • All thoughts of quitting disappeared. The environment in Team B was SO GOOD, welcoming and genuine teammates turned friends who I could trust not to backstab me… totally different from that in Team A. This just showed me just how much of a difference the ppl around me can make a difference.
  • 2019 – End 2020 was the best time of my journey in the org. Great teammates/ friends, great boss, much fun and laughter and just great memories overall.

2021 – 2022 (Team B and C):

  • Worst year in my entire 4-year journey in the org.
  • Wanted a rotation as I had been in the same role for YEARS, and I had raised this to my boss back in early 2020. She asked me to tank 1 more year and she would rotate me in 2021
  • 2021 – load of internal team issues. Boss left, teammates went on maternity leave, my other teammates also wanted a rotation as we were all stuck in the same role for years. So, I was then told I was not able to rotate cos they needed me to stabilise the team.
  • Org offered me a rotation only after I started applying externally and received multiple ref checks. Went over to Team C and was pressured to take on a concurrent role in both Team B and Team C.
  • I thought Team A was bad, but Team C was literally the worst. Toxic, intentionally unhelpful teammates + even better at backstabbing than Team A was + useless, non-existent boss + zero value-adding job scope
  • Applied externally again and ended up accepting another job offer.

Never felt a push factor so strong before. I am giving up a ~10% salary increment which I would have gotten if I stayed on till end of this year, and I’m going over to my new org with a lower overall annual salary package + lower appointment title.

I could end up in a situation as bad as now, but you have to take the leap of faith right? No matter what, let me continue forward and never look back with regrets (:

i give up. my body, my life, but their choice.

So today, I finally took my first dose of the sinovac ‘vaccine’! Against my will, against my choice, against my beliefs, yet I took it anyway because the government has left us no choice.

Get jabbed with experimental vaccines that don’t even protect you from covid, or you will be fired from your job and restricted from leaving your house.

And the government had the cheek to say the ‘vaccine’ is voluntary. HAHAHA my toes are laughing. With all the inasne, draconian, unethical and completely illogical policies they have implemented one after another in succession, don’t anybody dare tell me the ‘vaccine’ is voluntary. LOL.

IF the ‘vaccine’ is proven to be safe AND effective in actually protecting you from covid-19, I have nothing to say. But fact of matter is, all the mrna vaccines they are literally forcing onto people are untested and experimental and does not even prevent you from getting covid.

I’m expecting the next headline to be, ‘unvaccinated people will be jailed for their own protection’ or something along these lines. And once the vaccination rate is 100%, what next? Time to start forcing people to take boosters (and again, how effective and safe is this?) and threaten to fire them from their jobs if they don’t?

Grab some popcorn, this farce is far from over.

my body, my life, yet not my choice.

Isn’t it funny, how the Singapore Government is more scary to me than covid-19 itself?

You would think and hope that the government would protect and look out for their citizens, not go on a insane rampage and impose a slew of policies and laws one after another that makes it literally impossible for you to live in society. Fact: This government scares me more than covid-19 or anything else.

Let it be known – yes, I am now considering jabbing myself with the Sinovac ‘vaccine’. Not because I feel it is to my benefit – in fact, I believe it may do me more harm than good, and I DO NOT want to jab myself with some unknown, experimental jab. If I DO end up taking the ‘vaccine’ aka experimental jab, it is purely and only because the government has forced me to with all their insane and frankly horrifying policies and laws. I will be taking it against my will and against my belief.

My body, my health, my life, yet not my choice. What a joke.

Ministry of Manpower: From Jan. 2022, employers can fire unvaxxed employees as a last resort

With every announcement, the government is stepping deeper and deeper into the depths of hell.

What’s going to be the next headline? Ban unvaccinated people from taking public transport? Jail unvaccinated people? Revoke the citizenship status of unvaccinated people?

Meanwhile… with all these blatant discrimination and violation of human rights going on, the government is allowing ‘vaccinated’ people to freely return to the workplace and to public places. LOL. Because facts have proven that ‘vaccinated’ people are immune from covid and the 4k daily cases in Singapore are due to the minority 10% who are not vaccinated and not even stepping out of their house, right?

Welcome to Singapore – the totalitarian, authoritarian state which is enforcing more and more draconian and illogical, irrational policies with every passing day. Inject yourself with an unknown substance that comes with even more unknown long term side effects, or you don’t get to live and participate in society.

the government: take the experimental vaccine jab, which isn’t even effective in protecting you from covid, with unknown long term effects – or we will keep making it impossible for you to live.

People should take the covid ‘vaccine’ only if they truly feel it’s for their best interests at heart. No one should be taking the vaccine only because they are forced to with all the laws of discrimination and restrictions that the government is imposing, to basically make it impossible to live as an unvaccinated individual in society.

On top of that, the ‘vaccine’ the government is forcing onto us doesn’t even prevent you from catching and dying from covid + comes with well-known side effects and even more unknown long-term side effects.

Dear SG Government, honestly who the fuck do you think you are to force us to be walking lab experiments? Our body, our lives, all controlled and under the mercy of a handful of asinine monkeys – sorry, I mean ministers – who care more about $$$ than their citizens’ best interests at heart. Just when I think the government cannot stoop to new evils, they do so over and over again.

laws of discrimination, part 4 and counting.

Singapore Government: Unvaccinated employees will be barred from heading back to the workplace unless they test negative for COVID-19 prior to their return. These employees will need to pay for the costs of the tests.

Is catching covid from an unvaccinated person more deadly than catching covid from a ‘vaccinated’ person? The 85% majority of ‘vaccinated’ people are equally capable of carrying and spreading the virus, so why is this policy only targeting the minority of less than 10%? (because children who are too young to vaccinate constitute part of the 15%).

What is the purpose of this new asinine policy?

To reduce the spread of covid? Then why is the government disregarding the majority 85% who are free to run around and spread the virus?

To ‘protect’ the unvaccinated as the government has said? If so, no thank you. We are all adults and capable of making our own decisions for our own body. If the government is so keen to ‘protect’ us, then why not mandate eating vegetables, ban cigarettes, force people to sleep 9 hours a day and do at least 1 hour of exercise a day?

As it is, unvaccinated people are already banned from entering shopping malls, eating out, going to public places which the ‘vaccinated’ are free to visit. So please, explain the rationale for forcing people who are not even leaving their homes, to go to a clinic to take a covid test before we are allowed to return to our workplaces once in a blue moon. While disregarding the 85% who are so much more at risk of spreading the virus.

Here’s what the Singapore Government is basically saying, in layman terms: Healthy people who do not want an experimental jab will not be allowed to participate in society. The push to force everyone to get an experimental jab – which clearly is ineffective in protecting you from covid – for a virus with a 99% recovery rate doesn’t make sense. What’s the underlying motive.

just say it as it is: vaccinate or be jailed. vaccinate or be executed.

WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH THE SINGAPORE GOVERNMENT.

Each time I think they can’t get anymore retarded and draconian and ridiculous, they exceed my expectations.

First, they ban unvaccinated people from eating in at restaurants and places that are not open-air, going to cinemas, etc. They force us to take twice weekly ART tests at our own cost, even if we and every single member of our household don’t step one foot out of the house the entire month. Next, they ban us from entering shopping malls, from eating in anywhere, etc. Now, they mandate that anyone unvaccinated has to take those $50 tests at clinic and test negative before going to their workplaces.

At the same time, these monkeys – sorry, I meant to say ministers – are opening our borders to tourists without quarantine, letting vaccinated people who are equally capable of carrying and spreading and dying from covid eat out, etc.

Can the government just have the balls to announce, ‘vaccinate or we will execute you’? Rather than implementing all these asinine, stupid policies to force us to inject an unknown and untested substance with unknown long term side effects into our own damn body.

85% of your damn population is vaccinated, yet daily cases are exceeding 3k and rising. Compare that to a year or so ago when no one was vaccinated, there were none of these retarded restrictions, and yet daily cases were able to remain below the 100s.

Clearly vaccination is not the cure all when you have vaccinated people getting covid and dying from covid.

Instead of forcing people to inject an unknown untested substance into their own body, can the fucking government actually try getting to the root cause of the problem? Is the 15% unvaccinated who aren’t even allowed to step out of their house to live their daily lives the cause of the 3k cases each day?

Fucking incompetent clowns. Earning 50k a month to abuse human rights and come up with retarded policies.
