finally dyed my hair!

something that I always wanted to try doing but never actually did… until today. Wish I could say I was adventurous and went for a dark red or purple colour, but nah, it’s a boring dark brown.

Nothing exciting going on in my life at the moment. Volunteered with NUS CSC earlier this Saturday, went for a few internship interviews, met my group to discuss about our project (******** hate this sht, honestly), dyed my hair, and tomorrow I’ll be going for yet another interview. Thinking of applying to summer school too.

I miss Canada. I wish I could go on student exchange again ): I wish I’d done more while I was overseas. It was the best time of my life but I do have some regrets.

be a little more hygienic ffs.

So many times I take a plate/bowl/whatever from the rack in the kitchen only to find it dirtied with leftover food stains and shit, and ants crawling all over it, cos it wasn’t washed properly previously. And I’d grab a spoon or fork from the utensil holder only to find it dripping with oil or leftover food stuck on the bottom. Just gets on my nerves how unhygienic my mum can be sometimes.

In Canada my housemates and I washed up after ourselves after each meal, and if I ever wanted to grab something to eat I could simply rinse the plate under running water and it was sparkling clean. Here, I have to use a soap and a sponge to clean them each time before and after every meal.

And sometimes when my mum cooks she’ll serve the food in the dirty bowls/plates/whatever if I don’t remember to check and wash my own utensils before she’s done cooking. Just gross. Then she gets annoyed when I keep reminding her about how dirty the plates and everything is and how she has to check if they’re dirty before putting food in them. And I get annoyed because she just doesn’t care about how ***** unhygienic and dirty it is.

Also how hard is it to wash a plate clean after a meal so that there are no leftover food stuck on it? FFS. Seriously. Everyone in my family washes up after themselves (usually) and I have no idea who the annoying culprit is but damn it, I’ve told them multiple times about it and still no one gives a shit. Unfortunately for me I’m slightly more hygienic and this really puts me off.

Squeeze some soap onto the sponge (or the plate), use the sponge to scrub BOTH sides of the plate, rinse, DONE. So simple but something someone in my family is incapable of doing -.-

overwhelmed

omgggg. I’ve been busy this whole week going out till late at night so my work just accumulated and now I feel like I’m drowning, ughhhh. Just spent the whole Saturday morning and afternoon on SSA2211 and I’m still not done, and I still have 4 other modules to catch up on oh lordddd. Wanted to make plans for tomorrow and this Monday night as well but ugh, I have to clear all this shit first or else I really am gonna die.

Sigh. Said it a million times but I MISS CANADA!!!! Like damn, I hardly did any work while I was there AND still managed to travel during the weekends from Friday to Monday morning, and never once did I feel half as stressed as I do right now. And oh did I mention, I got my transcript yesterday and LMAO I SCORED STRAIGHT As. One A+ (wtf, this has never happened in my entire NUS life), one A and two A-. Why can’t it be this easy in NUS? Ughhhh.

Also. I went to watch xxx and Resident Evil over the last two days. Both were really good. I’d make a terrible movie critic because I end up enjoying 90% of the movies I watch.
